How to Program Universal Remote to Roku TV
There are three ways to program a universal remote to a Roku TV, which are as follows.
Using Manual Method
1. Ensure your Roku TV is turned on before programming your universal remote.
2. Now, press the TV button on a universal remote.
3. After that, press the Setup button, and a tiny light will blink four times on your remote.
4. Now, enter the code you noted from the list above.
5. After that, press and hold the Power button on your universal remote. You can release the Power button once your Roku TV is turned off.
Note: Once the remote programming is successful, you can turn off Roku using a universal remote. Then, turn it back on and test the remaining remote functions.
Using Code Search
1. While the Roku TV is turned on and running, hold the Setup button on a universal remote.
2. Now, enter 9-9-1 using a number pad on a universal remote.
3. Hold the Power button on your remote until the device turns off.
This method will take longer to finish remote programming as it needs to search for code.
Without Codes
1. Hold the Device button on a universal remote for 3 seconds. The LED light will glow, indicating that the device is ready to program.
2. Point the remote at the Roku TV sensor and click the CH+ and CH- buttons. The remote will show on/off signals.
3. Press the Up or Down button continuously until the Roku TV is turned off.
