No matter how long you look, you can’t find the Sportsnet app on your Roku device. Sportsnet is supported on multiple streaming devices, even gaming consoles, but not Roku streaming devices or Roku TV. However, there are some alternative ways to watch Sportsnet on Roku. You can watch via cable TV or use the screen mirror the app on Roku from your smartphone or PC. Scroll down to learn more.
Note: If you are residing outside Canada, you need to use a VPN on your Sportsnet streaming device.
What you need to stream Sportsnet
Sportsnet is a Canadian English channel that lets you stream the highlights and news for free with the Sportsnet app. If you want to stream the live events, you need either a cable TV provider subscription listed on the Sportsnet website or a Sportsnet Plus subscription. There are two Sportsnet Plus subscriptions.
- Standard – $19.99 monthly or $179.99 annually
- Premium – $34.99 monthly or $249.99 annually
Note: You can only access Sportsnet+ Standard with your cable TV subscription.
So, if you have a cable TV subscription, stream the Sportsnet on your Roku TV. If you don’t have a cable TV subscription, get a Sportsnet Plus subscription and follow the next method to watch live sports on Roku.
